Congresswoman Schrier says meat profits do not reach ranchers when four companies control processing

Washington State Congresswoman Kim Schrier says in debate on the Lower Food and Fuel Costs Act that the bill provides resources to allow year-round sales of higher ethanol blends which are consistently less expensive and higher octane gas, high food prices informers in the supply chain with fertilizer costs at record highs since most is typically sourced from Russia, skyrocketing prices for me at the grocery store knowing farmers and ranchers do not see additional profit because four companies control 80 percent of US meat processing, so to expand the availability capacity of reprocessing, and to address the cost of trucking and transportation help farmers get their crops to market.
