Senator Cruz says anti-doping agency allowed test–positive Chinese Olympic swimmers to compete, made demands ahead of next Games in United States

Senate Commerce Committee Chairman Ted Cruz of Texas says at a hearing about lacking international response to Chinese doping in Olympic swimming that WADA not only refused to provide answers to this inquiry and other government inquiries but allowed the same Chinese athletes to compete again in 2024 Paris Olympic games without any consequence, after which the International Olympic Committee announced Salt Lake City, Utah would host 2034 Winter Olympic Games, with news reports indicating IOC likely in cooperation with WADA took unprecedented move to demand Utah officials sign contract recognizing the supreme authority of WADA in order to host Olympic Games, making it shocking that WADA whom they rely upon to ensure fair competition not only refuses to be transparent and accountable but appears to have made unfair demands of United States city.
