NEW YORK, NEW YORK – NOVEMBER 3: (SPEECH) (Part 1 of 2) Mitch Landrieu (Mitchell Joseph Landrieu), Senior Advisor to the President of the United States, speaks in support of the Gateway Hudson Tunnel Project as a press conference is held at Manhattan's Hudson Yards to announce the rail tunnel project between New York City and New Jersey on November 3, 2023 in New York City. Work is set to start on the construction of the Hudson River Tunnel (aka the 'Gateway Tunnel') with the help of a $3.8 billion contribution from the federal government.
