Tony Randall Speaks About the Executives at NBC

Tony Randall: NBC is...it’s executive offices are populated by men of taste and ability, not the usual idiots that run networks but very fine men. I have a great deal of respect for them but they were having a very bad year. They didn’t have a single hit. Nothing! And so they were desperate. They loved our show and I believed them when they said that. If they had a number of hit’s I’m certain they would have kept us on they would have let the other shows carry us. That's exactly what happened with “The Odd Couple.”
