House Members Floor Exchange Over Immigration Dedication

Iowa Congressman Steve King and former immigration attorney Zoe Lofgren of California have an exchange during debate on a resolution to authorize an amicus brief in a Texas case challenging the deferred action policy of the Obama Administration before the supreme court. King describes legislative action prohibiting the policy since 2012 and the policy as unconstitutional when the House had a clear voting history of opposing each step in the President's path of amnesty. Lofgren questions whether the resolution would void an action of the House that does become law to which the 2002 the Department of Homeland Security Act that directed agency priorities for deportation.
