Congressman Steube hearing exchange with Mark Zuckerberg over ideological balance in content moderation consultations

Florida Congressman Greg Steube asks Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg by videoconference at a House Judiciary antitrust subcommittee hearing if Facebook hires conservatives or Democrat or liberal moderators of the was a balance, Zuckerberg answering in terms of 30 or 35,000 people doing safety and security review, a diversity of viewpoints needed to be represented in the policy development process, Facebook also consulting with a number of outside groups to take into account all perspectives, Steube asking what conservatives groups were consulted, if he could think of on conservative outside group use for content moderation, Zuckerberg answering he was talking about different external stakeholders in groups as inputs and was not involved in those conversations directly but could get back to him quite confident the company spoke with people across the ideological spectrum in developing the policies.
