UNICEF Brings Relief for Tsunami Victims in India

The fishing harbor of Nagapattinam has turned into a graveyard of boats affecting livelihood for hundreds of fishermen. The United Nations Children's Fund offers relief to the millions of homeless and the thousands that died in the Tsunami that struck the coast of India on December 26, 2004. Scores of UNICEF trained teams distributed Oral rehydration Solution (ORS) packets to avoid further deaths due to diarrhea and also explained to victims the need for proper handwashing.
