KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, UNITED STATES: The crawler transporter (L) waits at the base of space shuttle Discovery's launch pad 28 July 2005 to transport the mobile launch platform (C) back to its park site at Kennedy Space Center, Florida. The crew of Discovery on T28 July, moved onto the International Space Station after carrying out new damage checks on the shuttle as NASA ordered a new suspension of flights over safety concerns. The US space agency decided to halt the program again after Discovery's return because of debris that fell off during its launch on 26 July. Just before Discovery docked with the International Space Station (ISS), Discovery's commander Eileen Collins put the shuttle through an intricate flip so the astronauts on the ISS could take pictures of the shuttle's belly to check for damage.
