HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA – FRIDAY, MAY 27, 2011– Sammy Lee, two–time Olympic diving champion. Lee, 90, is part of the inaugural class of enshrinees that will be inducted June 5 into the L.A. United School District High School Sports Hall of Fame. He attended Benjamin Franklin High School and was the first minority student body president. He was also the class valedictorian and given the outstanding athlete award when he graduated. "When I won the gold medal standing on the victory stand I cried because I had fulfilled my dream of being an Olympic champion," Lee said.
