Saxony-Anhalt Parliament Votes For New Governor

GERMANY, MAGDEBURG - APRIL 25: Reiner Haseloff, incumbent governor of Saxony-Anhalt and German Christian Democrat (CDU), is seen prior to a vote by parliament members on a new governor following recent elections on April 25, 2016 in Magedburg, Germany. The CDU won the most seats in March elections but needs one or more coalition partners to govern. The new AfD (Alternative fuer Deutschland) right-wing populist party came in a very strong second, adding a new element to the political landscape in the state.
