Farewell Ceremony For Ukrainian Serviceman And Activist Pavlo Nakonechnyi In Cherkasy

CHERKASY, UKRAINE - June 22: Mother with grandmother and aunt of Pavlo Nakonechnyi, Ukrainian serviceman of the Special Operations Forces and known as Historian, mourns at a coffin of her only son during a farewell ceremony on June 22, 2022 in Cherkasy, Ukraine. Pavlo Nakonechnyi died from artillery fire on June 18 while performing a combat mission in the Kherson Oblast. He was the founder of the youth community organization “Poklyk Yaru” (“Call of Yar”). Since Russia’s Feb. 24 large-scale invasion of Ukraine, he took up arms and joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine without hesitation.
