BNEI BRAK, UNITED KINGDOM - 2024/05/25: Hasidic orthodox, Jewish men, sing and dance during Lag Ba'omer in the Gorlitz-Sanz Hasidic court in Bnei Brak. Lag Ba'omer is a Jewish traditional event observed on the 33rd day of the counting of the Omer. This day commemorates two significant historical events. Firstly, it is believed to be the day of the death of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai (RASHBI), a prominent sage in ancient Judaism. Secondly, it marks the victory of the Bar Kokhba revolt, an armed rebellion by the Jews in Judea against the Roman Empire in 132 CE. During Lag Ba'omer, Orthodox Hasidic Jews gather to light bonfires, listen to Rabbi teachings, sing, and dance in celebration of RASHBI's life.
