A 90-minute drive from liberal Amsterdam, a pocket of orthodox Calvinism thrives in the Dutch Bible Belt where women shun pants, swearing is banned and television is scorned as evil. Piety dictates politics, fashion and other aspects of daily life in the town and hardly any women wear pants, which are considered "men's clothing and unbiblical".
