A silhouetted Seidel is seen near the snow (difficult to see Seidel). 07:06:28 Special Edition: The Upcoming Surge Of US Soldiers In Afghanistan Will Mostly Be Stationed In The Southern Region Where The Insurgency Is In Full Force When the first of the additional 30,000 US troops hit the ground in Afghanistan in the coming weeks and months many will head to the southern region of the country where the insurgency is in full force. What happens in Kandhar and Helmand Provinces in Afghanistan really matters in Kabul, Afghanistan and will affect all of the country. This is why US military commanders are really insisting that the surge must play out in the south. NBC's Jim Maceda has just returned from that part of the country.
