Miners using pickaxes extract salt for war effort from mine in Nova Scotia during World War II

Miner using rope climbs up mine wall holding pickaxe, he stops climbing and loosens salt from wall with pickaxe / two miners using rope to climb mine wall, miner higher up uses pickaxe to loosen salt from wall, he hands miner squatting above piece of salt, that miner tastes salt / miner holding rope is lifted up to wooden platform across top of shaft / two shots of man standing next to shredding machine / three shots of line of miners walking up steep stairs / elevator rises into view with miners on it and stops, miners get off / Note: exact day not known
