NEW YORK, NY – MARCH 08, 2018: Demonstrators gathered and rallied in Manhattan’s Washington Square Park for the International Women’s Day New York City 2018. After the rally they marched in the West Village vicinity while escorted by the New York City Police Department. The protestors yelled anti President Donald Trump slogans throughout the event. Note: The event was hosted by Rojava Solidarity NYC and Metropolitan Anarchist Coordinating Council – MACC. The event Facebook page states "Join us this International Women's Day to defend the feminist #Rojava Revolution and to #DefendAfrin, a canton of Rojava/Northern Syria currently under assault by Turkey." #DayWithoutAWoman
