Child Prisoners Of Auschwitz

Sets of prisoner identification photos of child inmates of the German Nazi concentration camp at Auschwitz-Birkenau, Poland, during World War II. The photos were taken by Polish portrait photographer and fellow prisoner, Wilhelm Brasse (1917 - 2012), who was ordered to document prisoners in the camp by its SS administrators. Among them are: Mamet Merenstein (Jewish) prisoner number 62473 (top row, centre), Michalina Petrenko (Polish) prisoner number 27018 (top row, right) Miroslav Kubik (Czech, born 1925, survived) prisoner number 67065 (middle row, centre), Czesława Kwoka (1928 - 1943, Polish), prisoner number 26947 (bottom row, centre) and Krystyna Trzesniewska (1929 - 1943, Polish) prisoner number 27129 (bottom row, right).
