Climate Conscious Groups Unite To Protest For The Wet'Su'Wetan Against The TC Energy Coastal GasLink Gas Pipeline In Canada

The action is one of many around the world as talks continue in northern British Columbia between Wet’suwet’en hereditary chiefs and senior government ministers over the $6.6- billion 670-kilometre TC Energy Coastal GasLink gas pipeline that is planned to run across their 22,000 square kilometres unceded land in the central Interior of British Columbia. The plans have enflamed long disputed tribal land sovereignty issues with land protectors, environmental activists and Indigenous rights campaigners across Canada forming the Shut Down Canada movement which had been blockading rail and road transport hubs and creating media attention internationally.
