(Original Caption) 2/1/1947-Boston, MA: A man and a woman were drowned when their auto plunged over an unguarded retaining wall into Ft. Point Channel.The tragedy, apparently unwitnessed, was first disclosed when three small boys saw the top of the four-door sedan bared by the receding tide.Shown above, the body of the woman, recovered through the roof of the car, is lifted aboard a police boat by emergency squad.Woman victim was Mrs. Marie Barca, Rosindale, MA, mother of eight.Man was George Allen of Boston, father of six.
