ASSIGNMENT SUMMARY - - - - It was Duane Wiest who did the landscaping work in the back yard, and it was his wife, Adella, who broke open the clump of dirt and found the gold wedding ring. But it was 6-year-old Alisha who had made friends with the people four houses away who used to live in the Wiests' house on Chilcombe Avenue in St. Paul. She had brought Dave and Eleanor Bienhoff's grown daughters over to inspect their old house. So when the Wiests read the inscription on the ring -- ``DAB to EHF'' -- they figured it might belong to Eleanor. It did. She had lost it more than 40 years ago. She nearly fainted when she got it back last weekend as she and Dave celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Alisha was the ring-bearer. -- THIS PHOTO_Tuesday,06/27/00_St.Paul) - - - 6 year old Alisha Wiest (right) chats with the BienhoffÕs (Elli (ck) and Dave) on the BienhoffÕs front porch about the discovery of the lost wedding ring.(Photo By DAVID BREWSTER/Star Tribune via Getty Images)
