Emiliana was abducted and held for about 3 weeks in 2006. She was raped and abused for weeks by rebels before being released. She later became pregnant and gave birth to Moises in early January 2007. She now lives in a safe house in Panzi, outside Bukavu, DRC. The DRC conflict has seen an unprecedented high rate of rape and abuse of women.
