SANTA CLARITA, UNITED STATES: A distressed rabbit doesn't know where to run for safety as flames burn around it at Mentryville historic town in Santa Clarita in Los Angeles Country, 28 October 2003, as wildfires continue to rage across the state. Mentryville, located in Pico Canyon Park, is the home of historic buildings associated with the first oil well in California, which is also in the park. Flames engulfed the area but firefighters managed to save all the historic buildings as the fires raged around them and then descended to mountain towards the residential communities in Stevenson ranch.
