The flag of Spain consists of three horizontal stripes: red, yellow, and red, with the yellow stripe being twice the width of each red stripe. The coat of arms, which has a height of two-fifths of the flag's width, is displayed on both sides of the flag in the center of the yellow stripe. The axis of the coat of arms is positioned at a distance from the hoist equivalent to half the width of the flag.
