Tarragona is a port city in the Catalonia region of northeastern Spain. It preserves many ancient ruins, including the Roman colony of Tarraco. The Roman Amphitheatre is a 2nd-century arena facing the Mediterranean Sea, the early Christian cemetery contains Roman tombs, and vestiges of the Forum remain in the alleys of the old medieval walled city. The Archaeological Walk is a path along the walls with panoramic views of the city.
