Right on the first floor is accessed by a vestibule to the great hall, which contains the Donatello Museum since 1887. In the middle is a plaster cast of the equestrian statue of Gattamelata, whose original is in Padua. Previously, a marble lion ŠMarzocco“ of Donatello, the original located in front of the Palazzo Vecchio copy. Besides numerous plaster casts of originals Donatello also original works of the famous master are placed here as a statue of David in bronze, a marble statue of St Johannes, a statue of St George and others.
