The Polish constitutional crisis, which has inspired both supporters and critics of the new conservative government to take to the streets, deepened when the top court chided the president and opposition for breaking the law. At issue is a feud over the Constitutional Court makeup between the eurosceptic Law and Justice (PiS) party that won an October election and the liberal Civic Platform (PO) party that is back in opposition after eight years. Both parties have for weeks been trading accusations of seeking to introduce judges in their corner into the Constitutional Court.
