Philip Welsh

SILVER SPRING, MD - APRIL 21: Jennie Welsh reads correspondence between her husband and her deceased bother-in-law, Philip Welsh, who was murdered in his home in late February. Welsh, a longtime dispatcher at Barwood Taxi, rode the bus to work and led a life mostly free of current technology, collecting books, music, and movies. Also a prolific writer, Welsh left behind stacks of correspondence and poetry, mostly typed on his Smith Corona typewriter. His lifestyle choices have made it difficult for detectives to track his life and solve his murder. The family gathered at the home to go through Welsh's possessions on Monday, April 21, 2014 in Silver Spring, MD. (Photo by Amanda Voisard/For the Washington Post)
