Lying on a rooftop terrace in a residential neighbourhood of central Kabul is one of the world's least suitable domestic pets -- a fast-growing lion cub. The animal, which does not have a name, lives on top of a building in the district of Taimani, surrounded by high walls and fences, and is fed every day by an attendant who throws it raw meat.
