Family Eviction In Madrid

Jorge Aviles, 57, an unemployed Peruvian immigrant, is married with 3 children (a newborn, and two children under ten) who live below the poverty line with the aid of 526 euros per month given to the mother Yolanda, 26, as Minimum Income Entry. Jorge and his family began living as squatters in the empty flat belonging to Kutxabank 11 months ago after being unable to pay rent at their previous address. They have suffered 2 eviction attempts this year which were both postponed, but the third one has finally been executed. This time Jorge faces eviction alone, (while his family moved to Yolanda's parent home the pervious day) only supported by some neighbours and activists of the Victims Mortgage Platform (PAH).
