On the road which links the Wakhan Corridor and the Pamir plateau, between Langar and Kargush pass (4332 metres), in Tajikistan, Central Asia. This area is very remote in the Pamir mountains, with no village around apart from a military base at about 4000 metres above sea level. The road follows the border with Afghanistan for a while and then reach the Pamir plateau across dramatic moon-like landscapes.
