Remote - Stock-Fotografie

I enjoy this scene because of the variety of colors and diversity of plants that grow along the banks of this lake in an isolated part of southeast Missouri. I heard that the conservation department build this lake in anticipation of having road access however once the lake was built however the owner was asked for permission to use a road leading up here and the owner refused, so road access was never made available. This lake sits isolated. I walked up a rather high bluff trail and then hiked about 2 miles to reach this spot. I have rarely seen anybody here, but often see signs that we humans leave in our path, used drinking cups, tangled up fishing line, and discarded bait containers. We humans have a remarkable ability to carry things to a spot, but seem to have difficulty taking them home with us. Out here in this remote place you would think that the visitors would be nature conscious and take their rubble with them and probably most do but a certain percentage don't. Its so disheartening to walk on a hiking trail and see litter along the way. This remote spot is at General Watkins Conservation are in Scott County Missouri.
