The bridge was opened on 10 October 1928 by KingGeorge V and has since become a an iconic symbol of the City.The Quayside is an area along the banks (quay) of the River Tyne. The area was originally an industrial area and commercial dockside but has since been redeveloped.Sage Gateshead is a music, arts and conference venue on the south bank of the River Tyne, in the North East of England. It opened in 2004.The glass and steel shell contains three separate performance venues or theatres.
